The Grand Valley Youth Cycling Board of Directors is excited to announce that Jon Casson has accepted the position to become the next Executive Director of Grand Valley Youth Cycling. Jon brings an extensive background in coaching, leadership, development, and programing experience to Grand Valley Youth Cycling, having spent over 25 years coaching and developing athletes from all over the world at the highest levels of snowboarding. Jon’s coaching and leadership experience has taken him to World Championships, X-Games, and the Winter Olympics. Jon is officially starting his role this week and will work closely with the Board, Melissa and the GVYC staff to make smooth and effective transition over the next few weeks. He will be in attendance at Friday’s potluck to meet the GVYC community.

The Board of Directors would like to thank Melissa Pipkin for the countless time and energy she has invested in Grand Valley Youth Cycling since its inception nearly thirteen years ago. As a founding member of Grand Valley Youth Cycling, Melissa’s passion has always been to get more kids on bikes. Under Melissa’s leadership and dedication Grand Valley Youth Cycling has become the organization you are familiar with today and has become one of the premier youth cycling organizations in the Colorado High School Cycling League.
